Models of Urban Structure Webquest

We define how people and activities are spatially designated within an urban area.  Why and how they are situated within these urban areas are topics we will discuss and explore.

There are four models of urban structures that are widely accepted for urban development by sociologists, economists, and geographers.

These include:

Concentric Zone Model

Sector Model

Mulitple Nuclei Model

Peripheral Model
(form of multiple nuclei)

Your Quest:

Each group will research, read, and analyze the assigned model for your group.  Your expertise will culminate into the creation of a Power Point presentation explaining your model.  You will then use Power Point to supplement your oral presentation to the class.
