Spring Views of the Adams Garden
April 5, 2008 Some call it Williamsburg's 'Secret Garden,' tucked away as it is behind looming Boxwoods from the small triangular Baldwin Garden at the corner of Richmond Road and North Boundary Street. It's picket fence doesn't even give it away, as the College has many such fences and, besides, busy traffic on two sides of it distracts those who are unaware of its quiet presence. These images were taken on a rainy Saturday afternoon in early April. Despite the gentle rain, visitors footsteps could be heard slowly crunching along the garden's oyster shell pathways to see what there was to see. Which was plenty! |
