Direct sponsors aren’t the only companies to benefit off the crowds of spectators that the parade draws each year. Surrounding hotels, restaurants, and shops also have an opportunity to make money off the parade audience and New York City visitors.
To maximize the profit-potential of the Thanksgiving crowds, many businesses offer Thanksgiving Day Parade Packages, which make available various accommodations along the parade route. These often include hotel stays, shopping and dining discounts and admission to New York City sites such as the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Museum of Natural History. |
Many of these packages include special viewing locations for the parade, as well as special guided bus tours on Thanksgiving Eve, ending at the balloon-inflation area.[1] |
Hotel Thanksgiving Day Packages |
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park created a Thanksgiving Day Package. This package is a three-day ultimate package that includes VIP viewing of the parade in an indoor skybox catered with brunch. On "Black Friday," the day after Thanksgiving, guests will be treated with shuttles and discounts to Saks, FAO Schwartz and the NBC experience. The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park is the only hotel in Manhattan that offers this special Thanksgiving package. [2]

Macy's Thanksgiving Parade Fantasy Package Included: three nights luxury accomodations in a Harbor View Room, one way transportation to the Parade Experience, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Skybox Experience with private 8th floor indoor skybox viewing (floor to ceiling windows) of the parade on Broadway including a catered family friendly brunch, Thanksgiving Dinner in the Ritz-Carleton Ballroom, shopping discounts, and Friday round-trip shuttles from 8AM to 8 PM from the hotel to Saks Fifth Avenue.
