General information: Four hourly tests, each
worth 200 points, will be given on the following Wednesdays:
Wed., Sept. 14 Wed.,
Oct. 5 Wed., Oct.
26 Wed., Nov. 16
The final exam will consist of a fifth test
(worth 200 points covering chapters 25, 26, 27, 28) and an optional
comprehensive section (worth 200 points). The comprehensive section is
available to those who were absent from one of the earlier tests or to
those who wish to improve a score from an earlier test. Said another way, the
course is worth 1,000 points and your course grade will be determined by your
five highest 200 point units.
In preparation for each test you are urged to
concentrate on class notes and discussion and suggested problems. The text will
serve as a supplement to the notes. Help sessions will be scheduled prior to
each test. A help session will be scheduled on Thursday of each week in the
late afternoon.
