Faculty Development

The 2006 HHMI Undergraduate Science Education Grant to the College of William and Mary promotes faculty development with the following three initiatives:

• A new interdisciplinary faculty position in the biophysics/biomaterials field in the Department of Applied Science


• A faculty/student exchange program with Hampton University, Norfolk State University, Virginia State University, and Thomas Nelson Community College


• A small "faculty development fund" to enable faculty to attend conferences or workshops in new, interdisciplinary fields and to provide seed money to embark on projects in new or high-risk areas. For further information, contact the Program Director, Margaret Saha (mssaha@wm.edu).
