
The Technology Integration Program (TIP)
Faculty time is the most precious asset on any university campus. The mission of the Technology Integration Program is to support faculty members in using new tools to improve student learning, increase communication and encourage collaboration. When integrated successfully, technology is woven seamlessly into fabric of academic life of students and faculty alike. These new computer and communications tools build on and enhance the strengths of our traditional disciplines and communities by extend our capability to gather and analyze data, expanding our ability create and imagine and strengthening our connections with friends and colleagues all over the world.
Harnessing those capabilities requires both the understanding that all of us are learners in this world of emerging technologies and the acceptance of the possibility that even the things we do well might be done better. The Technology Integration Program is designed to provide a more comprehensive menu of support methods that can be shaped to meet the needs the discipline and the strengths of individual faculty members.
