Students and Staff Support Bone Marrow Registry; 2L Becomes Donor Fundraising efforts by law students and Law Library staff netted more than $11.5K to support William & Marys Alan Buzkin Memorial Bone Marrow Drive this spring. Bob Fay 07, who joined the bone marrow registry last year during the annual drive, became a donor earlier this month. Click here to read more.
2006 Public Service Fellowships: 90 Students, 78 Organizations, 4 Nations The Law School has awarded $277,313 in Public Service Fellowships to 90 students, who will work for 78 organizations in 19 states, DC, Argentina, China, and South Africa during summer 2006. Heslinga 06 received the National Best Advocate award earlier this month at the National Appellate Advocacy Competition sponsored by the American Bar Associations Law Student Division. Alumni Weekend 2006
The Law School welcomed more than 500 alumni and their guests to Alumni Weekend 2006 on April 7-8. Highlights included the Dean’s reception, barbecue “pig-nic” on the Law School lawn, and reunion class dinners at Colonial Williamsburg’s Woodlands Conference Center and historic Inn.
