Law School Moves Up in U.S. News & World Report Rankings
In the magazines annual rankings released Friday, April 1, the Law School is 27th in the nation, up from 29th a year ago. We are tied at 27th with Boston College, Fordham University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Washington. Twenty-seventh is the best we have done so far in the U.S. News rankings. Click here to read more.

BLSA Hosts Oliver W. Hill Scholarship Banquet on Sunday, April 17
The W.C. Jefferson Chapter of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) is holding its annual scholarship banquet at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, at the Alumni House on William & Mary's main campus. This event is taking place at the conclusion of Alumni Weekend and celebrates the life and accomplishments of Oliver W. Hill, a remarkable Civil Rights pioneer. Senator Henry L. Marsh III, former mayor of Richmond, is the keynote speaker.  Click here to read more.

"Ali's Run" at Law School Raises $3,900 for Campus Bone Marrow Drive;
Law Library's April 11 Free Throw Competition Also Will Net Support
A 5K run/walk on March 19 named in memory of Ali Kaplan, daughter of Rob Kaplan, the Law School's associate dean of career services, raised $3,900 in support of William & Mary's 14th Annual Alan Bukzin Memorial Bone Marrow Drive. The Law Library's annual free throw competition on April 11 also honors Ali and promises to net more support for the drive, which has entered almost 10,000 people into the National Marrow Donor Registry.  Click here to read more.

April 7 Panel Features Students Working on Saddam Hussein Trial
William & Mary is one of three law schools in the country working for the U.S. Department of Justice to provide legal support to the Iraqi Special Tribunal, the court which will try Saddam Hussein and his top lieutenants. Professor Linda Malone and the students in her Iraqi Special Tribunal Clinic will present An Introduction to the Iraqi Special Tribunal: Trying Saddam Hussein at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, in room 119. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the new Human Rights and National Security Law Program. Click here to read more.
