In Memoriam: Chancellor Professor Richard A.Williamson
The Law School community was greatly saddened by the death of Dick Williamson on June 22 in Williamsburg. Professor Williamson had been a Marshall-Wythe faculty member since 1970 and, along with Deans Bill Spong and Tim Sullivan, was present "at the creation" of the Law School's contemporary renaissance. He had served as the College's Coordinator of Legal Affairs for the past ten years. Click here to read more.


Levy and Scott Honored at June 1 Event
Chancellor Professor of Law, Emeritus, John Levy and Congressman Bobby Scott, co-founders of the Peninsula Legal Aid Center, were honored for their lifetime contributions to Legal Aid at a June 1 benefit reception in the new Wolf Law Library. Click here to read more.

Career Opportunities at the Law School

The Law School invites applications for an Assistant Dean for Admission. Review of applications began June 25 and will continue until the position is filled. Click here to read more.

Also, we soon will begin a search for an Assistant Dean of Career Services. This is a new position. Click here to read more. We expect the search to begin in the next few weeks, so please check the William & Mary Office of Human Resources web site for application instructions. Ball Professor Alan Meese was quoted in the June 28 Associated Press story “High Court Eases Ban on Minimum Prices” which appeared in the Washington Post. Other news groups carrying the AP story included Business Week, Forbes, MSN Money, Newsday, USA Today, the LA Times and papers in 19 states, DC, and the UK.

The June 26 Virginian-Pilot featured a story about College and Law Alumnus Hank Wolf ’64, ’66 titled “Norfolk Southern’s Financial Engineer Retires Saturday.”
