Summer 2006 Public Service Fellowships

For summer 2006, William & Mary School of Law awarded $277,313 to 90 students (53 1Ls, 37 2Ls) for 93 public service fellowships. They will work for 78 organizations in 19 states, the District of Columbia, Argentina, China, and South Africa.

Students will assist legal aid/legal services organizations (12); state/local public defenders (14); federal public defenders (2); human rights organizations (8); federal prosecutors (12); state/local prosecutors (10); state attorneys general (7); city/county attorneys (5); federal government agencies (9); and public interest organizations focusing on AIDS/HIV, arts, children’s rights, domestic violence/sexual assault, employment, environment, health care, housing, mediation/ADR, reproductive rights, and urban renewal (14).
