Former ABA President to Lecture on Importance of African-American Attorneys on Feb. 20

The Black Law Students Association will host a lecture by former ABA President Robert J. Grey on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The William & Mary Black Law Students Association will host a lecture for Black History Month by Robert J. Grey, Jr., on the importance of African-American attorneys in the past, present, and future, on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held from 12:50 PM to 1:50 PM in room 119 at William & Mary Law School.

Grey is a partner at Hunton & Williams in Richmond where he specializes in the law of regulated industries and government relations. He is a member of the American Law Institute and is past president of the American Bar Association (2004-05). In 2005 he received the Expansion of Freedom Award from the Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University, and, in 2006, was among 15 attorneys and law school faculty members named as “Leaders in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
