Nov. 1 Panel on Children and Domestic Violence

The Children's Advocacy Law Society will host a panel on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 in room 124 of the Law School on issues that affect children who come from families affected by domestic violence. The Children's Advocacy Law Society is hosting a panel on the issues that affect children in families with domestic violence. These speakers will be discussing their professional positions, the ways in which they address the legal and other issues facing children who come from families with domestic violence, and the types of effective advocacy needed from the legal community and the community at large. The presentation is open to the graduate and undergraduate community, and will be followed by a reception with food and drink.

The panel will be moderated by W&M Professor Jim Dwyer.

Domestic and Juvenile Relations Prosecutor Greg Bane

James City County Supervisor of Child Protective Services Mary Ann Lee

Colonial CASA Program Director Sarah Serra

Avalon Women's Center Resource Development Coordinator Erin Petrie.
