Representative Professional Activities and Achievements
Christie S. Warren joined the William and Mary Law School community in 2001 after practicing criminal defense law for 16 years in California. She was named the Law School's 2005-2006 St. George Tucker Adjunct Professor of Law and became Senior Lecturer in Law in 2007. In 2008 she was named Director of the Law School's Program in Comparative Legal Studies and Post-Conflict Justice.
Professor Warren has designed, implemented, monitored and assessed constitutional, judicial and legal development and training projects in 34 countries throughout Africa, Central and East Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the Newly Independent States, the Balkans and East Timor. She was named the 1998-1999 Supreme Court Fellow at the Supreme Court of the United States and received the Supreme Court Fellows Alumni Association's Administration of Justice Award for "significant contributions to the international administration of justice." She served as an advisor to the Kosovo Constitutional Commission during the 2007-2008 constitution-drafting process in Kosovo and is the Curriculum Development Advisor for the Constitution-Building Processes Programme at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance in Stockholm, Sweden.
