W&M Law School NewsTimothy Zick Joins FacultyTimothy Zick has been appointed Professor of Law at William & Mary Law School.
"I am delighted that Tim Zick has joined the faculty," said Neal Devins, Goodrich Professor of Law, Professor of Government, and Director of the Institute of Bill of Rights Law. "Not only is he a rising superstar in constitutional law, he is an exemplary teacher and citizen. His commitment to teaching and the law school will make him a valued member of our community for many years to come. We are lucky to have hired him." Zick graduated summa cum laude from both Indiana University and Georgetown University Law Center. He was Notes & Comments Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and received the Law Center's Francis E. Lucey, S.J., Award for graduating first in his class. After receiving his juris doctor, he practiced law, first at Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C., where he assisted in the defense of congressional term limits in the U.S. Supreme Court, and then at Foley Hoag in Boston. He has, in addition, clerked for Judge Levin H. Campbell of the First Circuit Court of Appeals and worked as a trial attorney in the Department of Justice's Federal Programs Branch, where he defended the constitutionality and legality of a variety of federal programs and statutes.
