6. Possession with cha-, chi-, etc.
Some words are possessed with cha- 'my' and chi- 'your' instead of am- and chim-:
| chahakcho | my ear | |
| chihakcho | your ear | |
| iihakcho | his/her ear | |
| kohakcho | our ears | |
| hachihakcho | your (2+) ears | |
| chaholchifo | my name | |
| chiholchifo | your name | |
| iiholchifo | his/her name | |
| koholchifo | our names | |
| hachiholchifo | your (2+) names |
The nouns that take cha-, chi-, etc. are usually body parts and family terms, though not all body parts and family terms take these prefixes.
