These sentences follow this pattern (where "_" indicates a nasal vowel):

The subject of the sentence takes -k. The last vowel of the object is nasalized.
Koasati doesn’t have nouns ending in consonants. When a word ending in a consonant is borrowed into Koasati, -ka is added to make it fit the language:
