The Italian government has named 2013 as “The Year of Italian Culture” in the United States. The Muscarelle Museum is one of only a handful of museums designed as a cultural partner. The program, spearheaded by foreign minister Guilia Terzi di Sant’Agata, is designated to showcase the scientific and cultural legacy of Italy. Hosting the monumental exhibition Michelangelo: Sacred and Profane has earned the Muscarelle Museum the privilege of being a partner with the Year of Italian Culture.
