cms presentations
On January 23 - 24, 2008, mStoner and their sister company, Global Image, demonstrated some features and functionality of two web content management systems - Hannon Hill's Cascade and RedDot.
If you've been following the re.web blog (particularly the CMS posts), you know by now the importance and complexity of choosing a CMS. However, if you haven't had a chance to do some light reading over the past few months, you can catch up with our "do we need a CMS and what is it anyway?" page.
The re.web team began the review of CMS products about 12 months ago. Over the last few months, our research and review of dozens of CMS options was guided by two goals: 1) to meet the needs of the current and future W&M web site, and 2) to give W&M web editors easier and better tools for maintaining their sites. The two that were demonstrated on January 23 - 24 meet most of the desired specifications. Having seen many demonstrations of different products, the re.web team appreciated the fresh eyes and brilliant minds of those who provided feedback on these two CMS choices. Happy reading!
