The College of Arts and Sciences offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. The School of Business offers bachelor's and master's degrees. The School of Education offers master's, education specialist, and doctoral degrees. The School of Law offers a doctoral and the LL.M. American Legal System degree.
A review of the College of William and Mary 2004-2005 Course Catalog shows that all of the baccalaureate degrees require 120 credit hours for completion. Credit hour and course requirements for the programs are available in print and on the Web in the undergraduate catalog and specifically, the sections entitled "Requirements for Undergraduate Degrees" and "Degree Requirements for School of Business Administration" (page 3, the Baccalaureate Degree Requirements). The requirements include credit-hour residency requirements of 60 credits, the last two semesters, and 15 credits within the major field of study. The graduate degrees have similar residency requirements. For example, the doctoral degrees require at least one full year of residency at the College beyond the master's degree. The professional degrees, require residency, and limit the number of transfer credits that can be applied towards graduate degrees, generally to no more than six hours. Please see Core Requirement 2.7.4 for more details.
