RUSTY

Welcome back to the studios everyone, we’re about to be joining a game in progress where the offense Mike, is trying to make a big play, that being a kiss against the defense, Sharuq.

CHIP

That’s right; it should be quite the epic match up between these power houses.

RUSTY

Now let’s remember, Mike’s going to be trying to make an offensive move to engage in some physical contact.

CHIP

That’s true, he’s known for his sneak attacks, and oh, there it is.

RUSTY

But, did you see that defense by Sharuq, that was some fantastic evasion move.

CHIP

Yeah, she’s quite agile.  Here we have it on the replay, he comes sweeping behind, but she manages to pick it up and duck out of the way.

RUSTY

How, woo, that was great.

CHIP

Zounds.

RUSTY

Now we’re on second down, Mike’s not, uh, given up quite yet.

CHIP

No, and it looks like Sharuq’s defense though hasn’t given up either.

RUSTY

He’s leaning in but boy she’s not giving any ground.

CHIP

Oh that encroachment could cost him, and looks like he didn’t make any progress on that.

RUSTY

Now, now check out this body language.  You see that finger going up, that’s just clearly what Sharuq is not going to let happen.

CHIP

Ah, and here we go, in case you didn’t pick up on those first two downs, she’s verbally communicating her feelings and her decision not to go for the kiss.

RUSTY

Far and away the best tactic I’ve ever seen, as you can see by the results of this play.

CHIP

Yep.

RUSTY

Get’s it done, every time.

CHIP

Looks like she’s hungry, so they’re gonna go off and have a meal.  Let’s go back down to Olivia, she’s down on the field and it looks like she has a more in depth field analysis with Sharuq.

OLIVIA

So, how did you get yourself psyched up for the big event?

SHARUQ[Glorious music plays in background]

I’ll tell you what, I knew initially that my boundaries were set and this is how it was going to be.  You know, I think, once I communicated what it was I wanted what it was I didn’t want, it was clear from there.  Here was the line of scrimmage, there was no passing it.

RUSTY 

I’m curious what the offense, Mike, has to say about the same events, Olivia? Olivia, can you hear us? [Indistinguishable voice being heard through headphones] Check.  Hello.

OLIVIA 

Well thanks guys, here we are with our other key player now, so tell me, what happened out there?

MIKE

I just wasn’t expecting to get shut down so much, that’s what was so embarrassing, but, I guess in the end what I really appreciated was the fact that she really communicated to me what she wanted out of the relationship and we’re having lunch tomorrow and we’ll take it from there.

OLIVIA

Let’s throw it back to the studio.

CHIP

Wow, although Mike was embarrassed on the field, he managed not to be embarrassed personally through good communication. It seems like boundaries well-defined are relationships well made.
