BIFF

The scene, the College of William & Mary, in the teaming metropolis of Williamsburg.  Here we are, beautiful Zable Stadium and I’m your announcer, Biff Lucky.  The seats are filled to capacity as Chip and Rusty looking dapper in their jackets, look over the field and discuss today’s keys to the game, to help you achieve peak performance and maximum safety at the College of William & Mary, home of the tribe.  So Chip, Rusty, won’t you take it away?

CHIP

It’s the big game day, I’m Chip McCracken, class of ’95 and with me is legendary Hall of Famer, Rusty Williams.  Rusty it’s great to have you with us.

RUSTY

Well it’s great to be here, Chip; it’s been quite awhile since I’ve returned to the hallowed gardens of William & Mary.

CHIP

And although the college has been around a long time and a lot has changed, one thing has remained constant, and that’s the solid community here.

RUSTY

That’s, that’s absolutely true and I see those students out there, uh, chatting about things, or, or organizing events, or, or throwing the discus around the Sunken Gardens, I just feel my heart palpitate a little on the inside.

CHIP

They may not be able to accomplish as much as they can without some solid coaching and there’s no one better to talk about the unity of this team than Coach Sam Sadler.

OLIVIA

Good to be here with you Coach Sadler.

SADLER

Glad you made it over.

OLIVIA

Well what are your thoughts on this great team we have?

SADLER

Listen you’re right, this is a great team, I think in fact they’re as well prepared as any we’ve ever had. In fact, here’s what you can expect from this group, they make great choices [bell dings], their judgment is super [bell dings], even in sometimes challenging situations, they’re prepared, ‘I think you’re gonna be pleased.

OLIVIA

And to top it off, they have a fantastic coach, back to Chip and Rusty.

CHIP

Well let’s throw it back onto the field and take a look at students who are helping to create a safer community on the entire campus

BIFF

Thanks Chip and Rusty, there are many student organizations here on campus there to help.  We start with Campus Escort, whose eager staff is ready to leap into action at any call.  To help you get to your destination safely, and there they are, off to help another student.  And if you prefer to ride, let’s get in the van, whoa watch your step there buddy.  Steer Clear will drive you to your destination.  Buh-bye.

And next, are sexual assault peer education groups, One in Four [bell dings], and Every Two Minutes [bell dings], are there to help educate you and help you make health choices here at the College of William & Mary.

CHIP

Well that’s quite an impressive list of activities that William & Mary students participate in.

[Thunder sounds]

RUSTY

What was that!?!

CHIP

Oh, that must be the thunder of our stats.

RUSTY

Did you folks know that almost half of students at the College of William & Mary volunteer weekly?

CHIP

Wow, that’s impressive.  You know that 63% of students have four drinks or less when they party.

RUSTY

Close to 400 student organizations exist on the campus.

CHIP

92% of students would intervene if they witnessed a friend trying to coerce a person to have sex.

RUSTY

I can do 2% better, by saying that 94% of students stop the first time the date says no to sexual activity.

CHIP

Rusty, once again, you manage to beat me at my own game, well played [sound of basketball going through hoop]

Stay tuned for more coverage of the big game day live on the campus of the College of William & Mary.

RUSTY

Go Tribe!

CHIP

And Hark upon the Gale.
