FMLA & ASAP Sexual Assault Awareness Week (SAAW)

Mission: Sexual Assault Awareness Week (SAAW) is a six-day program dedicated to bringing visibility and informing the campus community about sexual violence. This is the second year the Feminist Leadership Majority Alliance (FMLA) has joined with the Alliance for Sexual Assault Prevention (ASAP) to sponsor SAAW. This year, our primary goals are to educate campus about issues specific to “acquaintance rape”, healthy decision-making and survivor rights.

April 3 Monday

  • Office of Sexual Assault Prevention Education- GRAND OPENING 11am-4pm, 2nd floor Campus Center
  • Judicial Council forum, Blair 229 7PM
  • Clothesline Project
  • Sexual Assault Awareness Week University Center table 11-2PM & 5-7PM – “Not my campus” t-shirt giveaway, turquoise ribbons, general information & “Men’s Pledge to End Rape” proclamation

April 4 Tuesday

  • Open survivor meeting with Avalon, Tucker 131, 5PM
  • Hidden survivors: the story of same-sex sexual assault, 7PM , Tyler 336
  • Sexual Assault Awareness Week University Center table 11-2PM & 5-7PM

April 5 Wednesday

  • Every 2 Minutes presentation, 7PM , Tyler 301
