Gott in der Natur (God in Nature)
(Johann W. L. Gleim)

Thomas Marshall, piano

Great is the Lord! The heavens without number are the chambers of
his citadel; his chariot is the storm and thundering clouds, and lightning
is his team of horses. Great is the Lord! The dawn is only a reflection
of the hem of his raiments, and his lustre can be compared to the light of
the flaming sun at twilight. He looks down on the earth with merciful
gaze; it becomes verdant, flourishes and laughs. He chides; fire flows out
of the rocks, and sea and heaven shake!

Praise the powerful One, the great Lord; you lights of his castle,
you multitudes of the sun burn to his honor; you, O earth, sing his praise.

Wie Lieblich sind deine Wohnungen (a Hymn after Psalm 83)

Elisa Dickon, harp; Thomas Marshall, organ

How lovely are Thy dwelling places, O Lord! My soul yearns after
the portals of the Lord. My heart rejoices in the living God. As the
sparrow finds shelter and the dove refuge from the storm, so I find Thy
altars, O Thou my King, Lord and God! Blessed are they who dwell in Thy
house; in all eternity do they praise Thee! God loves mercy and truth, and
to them who wander without sin he gives grace and glory!

Tshotsholoza

Buck up! Hey train, bore your way through the mountains from Rhodesia.
Keep running through the mountains from Rhodesia. (This freedom song
referred originally to Blacks in Rhodesia who hid themselves on trains at
their peril to find work in South Africa. It came to be sung as part of
the freedom movement in South Africa.)

Siyahamba

We are marching in the light of God.

Sing Joyfully (Psalm 81: 1-4)

Sing joyfully unto God our strength. Sing loud unto the God of Jacob. Take
the song, and bring forth the timbrel, the pleasant harp and the viol.
Blow the trumpet in the new moon, even in the time appointed, and at our
feast day. For this is a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

Das ist ein köstliches Ding (Psalm 92)

A precious thing it is to give thanks to the Lord and sing praises to Thy
name, Thou Most High, in the morning to proclaim Thy grace, in the evening
Thy goodness, and in the night Thy truth, for, Lord, Thou wouldsthave me
sing joyfully of Thy works; I praise the accomplishments of Thy hands.
Lord, how great are Thy works. The righteous will flourish as a palm tree
and will grow as a cedar in Lebanon; and when they become even so old, yet
will they continue to bloom and flourish and make known Thy goodness. It
is my wish to sing to Thee, Thou faithful God. It is a precious thing to
give thanks to Thee, my God.

Regina Coeli

Joanne Dadd, soprano; Margaret Walsh, alto
Jung Woo Lee, tenor; Brian Welty, bass
Members of the William and Mary Symphony Orchestra

Queen of Heaven, be glad! Alleluia. For it was you who was deemed worthy
to give birth. Alleluia. He rose from the dead as it was foretold. Pray
for us to God. Alleluia.

Ev'ry Time I Feel the Spirit

Rebecca Howell, soprano
