The Class of 2007
Communal Bike Program
Since its creation during our Freshman Year, the Communal Bike Program has gone through major changes and additions. We started with donated bikes from the Campus Police, and moved towards new bikes purchased by VP Sadler, to a new fleet of huffy bikes in the near future. We have tried to work with the inevitable problems that will occur with any communal program, such as the maintenance of the bikes.
In order to create a better and more efficient system, we have purchased 30 brand new huffy bikes and created an educational program regarding proper bike care. We hope to educate students on how to care for the bikes, including where to take one if it is found broken, through fliers, stickers, emails, CSUs, etc. We have also expanded the Bike Committee to include more volunteers and Cycling Club members. The new fleet of orange bikes will be out early next semester with the launching of the educational program. If you have any suggestions or would like to help, please email .
