Past Events

• Prince George Street Block Party
  In September we hosted a block party to kick off Parent's Weekend. Over 1500 people enjoyed the live music by Fighting Gravity, great food, and free fraffles from local merchants. We hope to make this an annual tradition with better music and raffles each year.
  
  
• Coffe Nights
  Each semester we host one coffee night at the Daily Grind were class of 2007 students recieve $1 off anything on the menu. This year we brought our smores inside and made them with the Daily Grind fireplace; 3 for a $1 or 1 for 50 cents.
  
  
• Poker Tournament
  On February 22nd over 90 people attended our campus wide poker tournament. Each person paid $5 before hand or $7 at the door for a chance to win great prizes such as an iPod or a $85 gift certificate. We will donate a portion of the $500 we made to the Boys and Girls Club of Newport News and save the rest for our class.
  
  
• Angel Tree
  This year we donated over 400 presents from WM students to needy children at the Newport News Boys and Girls Club Christmas Party. These kids greatly enjoy and appreciate this special Christmas party from WM students.
  
  
• Christmas in Kampala
  The Class of 2007's Christmas in Kampala Tree in the Campus Center raised hundreds of dollars to help George Srour reach his $30,000 goal for an orphanage in Kampala, Uganda.
  
  
• Study Breaks during Exams
  Each semester during exams we host a study break in swem with free cookies, coffee, and tea.
  
  
• Free Ice Cream at Blowout
  Last year we gave all students free ice cream on the UC terrace during Blow Out. We hope to expand the free ice cream by several gallons so more students can enjoy the event for this upcoming blowout.
