Chapter Projects

The William & Mary chapter sponsors and participates in various scholarship and service activities throughout the year, including:

Make a Difference Day This fall the chapter helped clean up a Habitat for Humanity store in Newport News.

Salvation Army Stocking Drive

The chapter collected and donated over 200 items for underprivileged seniors.
Adopt-a-Family, Adopt-an-Angel In 2002, the chapter provided gifts to about a dozen underprivileged children and several hundred dollars worth of groceries to an local family.
Planning for College Success (PFCS) PFCS teams up college and middle school students who may not have yet considered attending college.  The college students explain what college is like, get the kids excited about the prospect of higher education and let them know what they need to do to get there. 
March to College Day PFCS culminates in March with March to College Day when the middle schoolers come to campus for a tour, sample classes and other activities.
Book Group This fall chapter members read Yann Martel’s Life of Pi and participated in an informal discussion.
Essay Contest The chapter sponsored a campus-wide essay contest and awarded a total of $300 to the top three contestants: Scott Ickes, Billy Bylund & Victoria Pavlova
