SOCIAL
Delta Gammas do so much, but they still know
how to have fun! Whether we're hanging out with
our sisters or dancing the night away, you're sure to see a DG with a smile on her face
and a friend on her arm. The sisters who plan our social activities never cease to
amaze us with the
mixers, formals, semi-formals, and sisterhood events they come up
with. We especially love our many date parties:
taking ghost tours, playing mini-golf,
or date dashes!
Mixers and Date Parties
Delta Gammas have a ton of mixers with both fraternities
and other sororities on campus.
With our favoriteguys and girls we've enjoyed tailgates, famous couples date
parties,
ice cream socials, and many themed parties!
Formals
We have two formals each year: the fall formal
introduces the fall pledge class and
the spring formal recognizesthe graduating seniors. Our social vp and her
directors work
hard to find fun locations and create awesome themes! In the past
we've enjoyed everything from a Venetian
maquerade at a beautiful country club to a
swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean affair in Virginia Beach.
With previous locations at an exquisite
Williamsburg winery and a gorgeous historic plantation in a
nearby estate, where will we go next?
Sisterhood Events
Our favorite events are those we get to share
with our sisters. We gather weekly for
Gossip Girl, bring our pillows and pj's for dessert and movies at the house, support
our favorite Tribe teams (and Tribe cheerleaders!), make a mess carving pumpkins
and decorating cookies, or pack
a lunch and swimsuit for a picnic at Jamestown beach.
