SafeU self defense is not the education of defeating another person by force. The workshop will teach you how to identify potential danger based on “red flag” behaviors of a potential predator rather than traditional stereotypes and labels, such as “stranger.” The interactive workshop will also teach techniques for awareness and personal empowerment. The workshop is free and open to everyone!

Take Back the Night 2007 will feature a rally, a talk by a survivor of sexual assault and former W&M student, booths run by student groups, and more! The night will end with a Candlelight Vigil in the Sunken Gardens.

The intent of the panel is not to debate free speech and censorship or to make moral judgments on the use of pornographic material, but to begin a debate on how to articulate healthy sexuality.
