The IAAC serves the College of William & Mary by:

• Promoting campus awareness of accessibility issues at William and Mary
• Providing a forum and networking opportunities for students with disabilities to voice their concerns
• Educating the campus about disability culture and practical ways in which disabled students go about their lives
• Addressing public misconceptions and stereotypes about disability from diverse perspectives
• Networking with other disability-and diversity-related organizations on campus
• Helping integrate new students with disabilities into college life and provide them with mentors and other pertinent resources
• Encouraging students, administration, and faculty to express their views and ask questions about disability rights and access issues here
• Bringing in thought-provoking speakers and presenters
• Coordinating with administration to resolve significant obstacles hindering equal access to campus facilities and programs
