February
After a busy fall semester, the LSA rested adn
recovered from the rigors of academic life, and returned to
campus ready to take on another semester of challenges.
LSA took no time to ge back into the groove, as we crammed a wide variety of activities into the last half of January, including spiritual enrichment through a Bible Study led by Joel Neubauer and social enjoyment through a Welcome Back gathering and a Super Bowl party hosted by the ever-hospitable Hallmans. And Secretary Elizabeth Jackson gave us a blast from the past by presenting a program hilighting a historical aspect of LSA. Taking a closer look at our constution and By-Laws was an interesting and informative opportunity and allowed the group to put ourselves and our purpose in proper perspective.
February also provided an opportunity for LSAers to take a closer look at our own faith (at the LSM Regional Retreat) and at the faith of others (in a program presented by Samantha Schrier on Judaism). A Valentines's Day activity, a Bible Study and a communion service rounded out the month.
LSA is also, as always, looking ahead and planning for the future. Preparations are already underway for the LSA Service, which will be held on March 25th. Some consideration is also being given to a weekend trip to visit the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. near the en dof March.
