Visiting The Dojo

If you would like to stop by during one of our scheduled training sessions to find out more about us or just to watch how training is conducted, you are welcome to do so. Please follow the following protocol when you visit.

• Please email the instructor or club president if you know when you would like to stop by. (see the contacts page.)
• Be sure to check where and when the training will be held for the style you are interested in.
• When you arrive, please remove your shoes and wait just inside the doorway for an instructor to notice you. This is both a formal courtesy in the dojo and a safety measure.
• The instructor will bow to you at which time you may enter, bow twice from the waist, at about 45 degrees.
• Have a seat somewhere out of the way but where you can see. The instructor will most likely show you to a place you can watch comfortably.
• You may leave at any time. If you have questions please wait until a break in the training.
• When you leave again wait for the instructor to notice you.
• The instructor will bow to you again. Bow twice from the waist, at about 45 degrees.
