The William & Mary Symphony Orchestra will be ending the academic season by performing at Phi Beta Kappa Hall this Wednesday, April 24th, 8 PM. Come listen to pieces by Sarasate, Faure, Ravel, and Respighi and also send our seniors off into the real world! Tickets can be bought at the door and online.

The William & Mary Symphony Orchestra will be traveling to Baltimore, MD this Thursday-Saturday for our annual tour! We will be performing pieces by Brahms, Wagner, and Jacobs along with combining orchestras with the Towson Symphony Orchestra to perform Ravel's Boléro. The Halloween concert has been rescheduled for Halloween night (Wednesday, October 31st) at 7 PM in the Commonwealth Auditorium. Ticket reservations can be done by emailing wmorchestra@email.wm.edu (if you have already reserved tickets for the Sunday shows, please rereserve your tickets). We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you tomorrow night!

If you have already purchased a ticket and would like a refund, please email wmorchestra@email.wm.edu to arrange a time to exchange the tickets you received for your refund.

The William and Mary Symphony Orchestra 2012 Halloween Concert will be held this Sunday at 3 PM and 8 PM in the Commonwealth Auditorium (Sadler Center). Reserve your tickets now by emailing wmorchestra@email.wm.edu with your name, how many tickets, and which show time you would like to attend. Tickets will be held at the door. Get them before they sell out! $3 Students (w/ ID), $5 General, Children 12 & Under Free. This year will feature a Halloween story written for the WMSO by Taylor Morris. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to our Family Weekend Concert this past Friday! It was a huge success. Be sure to come check out our Halloween Concert on Sunday, October 28th. We will be having two performances. Ticket information will be available soon on this website. Make sure to get your tickets before they sell out!

Prospective and returning members are invited to attend a meet-and-greet in Ewell 207 (rehearsal room) this Thursday, August 30th from 4-6PM. Food will be provided. Come out and get to know the orchestra and meet old and new friends. We hope to see you there!

About the Orchestra

Now entering its 80th season, the William & Mary Symphony Orchestra is comprised of undergraduate, graduate and community musicians of the College of William & Mary. Its mission is to grow through performances of great orchestral literature and to contribute to the artistic community of the College and beyond.

WMSO has performed major works by Beethoven, Berlioz, Brahms, Dvorak, Mahler, Bartok, Ravel and Tchaikovsky and offers additional opportunities such as guest artist collaborations, premieres, and tours. In 2002, WMSO took its first international tour to Italy and Sicily. The orchestra's domestic tours include performances at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall in Alexandria, VA (2011) and at the Lang Recital Hall at Swarthmore College, PA (2012).

WMSO rehearses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm and performs 4 programs annually, in addition to appearing at special events such as the Family Weekend Concert.
