Pep Band Officers



Driver of the Trainwreck The Director- The highest office in the band. It is their responsibility to make sure everything runs smoothly. The Director runs rehearsals, conducts the band and works with Athletics to coordinate performances.

Christina Millson, '10 - Psychology, Music
Talks to other trainwrecks The Liaison Officer- Works closely with the Director and Athletics to make sure things run smoothly. The Liaison Officer is also the prime link between the band and outside groups, such as the music department and alumni band.

Amanda Mounce, '10 - French and Psychology
Orchestrates the Trainwreck The Show Manager - In charge of the field shows that the pep band performs. They are responsible for coordinating music selections, rosters for the show, drill, and the text of the script.

Chris Colligan, '10 - International Relations and Economics
Makes the Trainwreck blow The Winds Manager - Main job is to warm up and tune the band before performances, while the director may have other things that need to be done, such as meeting with athletic personal or last minute organizational issues. The Winds Manager is also in charge of lyres and flip folders, and their distribution, as well as any wind instruments that are lent out for use.

Evan Callaway, '12 - Computer Science
Impersonates jackhammers The Percussion Manager - In charge of battery instrumentation, tuning, upkeep, and selection of cadences.

Chris Givens, '10 - Biology
Records the glorious conquests of the Pep Band The Secretary - Takes attendance at all pep band events. Other responsibilities include maintaining the Constitution and keeping minutes at any meetings that the Executive Board might decide to have.

Rebecca Miller, '12 - Marketing and History
'Do we have enough money to wreck another train?' The Treasurer - Responsible for working closely with the Director on budget matters relating to the band.

Giselle Spahr, '12 - Neuroscience and Environmental Science
Makes sure everyone has the plans to wreck the Train The Librarians - In charge of the upkeep of music folders. They make sure that everyone has all the music that they need so we can play. They keep track of who has music so the deposits can be reclaimed in the spring when the music is turned back in.

MK Baker, '12 - Mathematics
Sam Meadows, '12 - Psychology and Government
Makes sure we have good drinks during the Trainwreck The Social Chairs - The people who plan fun things for us to do that don’t involve music.
