Welcome to the homepage of the Praevaricorian Society of the College of William and Mary -- a debating society where the leading minds of our generation come together to discuss topics ranging from government to God.

The Praevaricorian Society will begin meeting in the coming weeks of the Spring, 2006 semester.  The first topic of discussion will be:

Politics and the Scientific Community:  Is the Federal Government engaged in the censorship of valid scientific discovery?  If so, is it legitimate and/or justified?  If not, should it be?  What grounds, if any, does the Government have to impose restrictions on medical and scientific research?  If so, why, and to what extent should that power be utilized?  If not, why not?
