Pre-Requisites

All the courses listed underneath must have a grade of a C- or better to be considered

• General Biology - 8 (with laboratories)
• Organic Chemistry - 8 (with laboratories) - CHEM 206 + CHEM 207 or 307
• Physics - 8 (with laboratories) Calculus based is not required
• Biochemistry - 3 - BIO or CHEM 414
• English - 6 - 3 composition, AP credit not accepted for this 3 credits (they have been known to take some of the freshman writing seminars to fulfill this but double check)
• Math - 6 - Pretty much any math course excluding computer science courses
• Humanities/Social Sciences - 6 - GER 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7s

Applications Components

Application Process

• Submit application via VMCAS
• VTech sends e-mail address for supplemental application for animal experience, requesting much more detailed information. They don't look @ this section on the VMCAS application form.
• They evaluate your application Those that make it past this first section of the application process are then invited to interview
• There is a "hot" section of the interview where the person interviewing you has read over your application. There is then a "cold" interview where you are interveiewed by someone who hasn't seen your application. Each of these interviews is 15 minutes long.
