MEMBERSHIP is open to students, faculty, and staff members of VIMS or the College of Williamand Mary.  Members of the William and Mary Sailing Team don't have to join the VIMS S&P club separately.  

To Join:

1. Email James Douglass and have him put you on the mailing list.  

2. Print out and sign the informed consent waiver and give it to a club officer.  If you have a current first-aid or CPR certification, make a copy of your certification cards and turn it in along with your informed consent waiver. 

3. Dues are $15 annually.  Make checks payable to VIMS Sail & Paddle Club, and give them to Rachael Blake, Sail/Paddle Treasurer (campus mail is OK).

4. If you plan to skipper the O'day, completion of a Coast Guard boating class is required.  Send a copy of your certificate to JP Rineheimer, O’day Crew Chief.  Club members without certificates may crew on these boats (Note guidelines for sailboat use on this web page).  Beginners may use windsurfers and small sailboats only with supervision of certified members.
