Since vaccination is so common in the United States we often forget about nations where easily curable diseases can become an epidemic and cost thousands of lives. Unicef uses funds every year to send vaccines to relatively remote areas.

Unicef and its partners — including the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Vaccine Fund, BD, Rotary International and Zonta International — support national immunization campaigns and improved distribution of vaccines to stop this needless suffering.
