MISSIONSEveryday Missions...Members of the Wesley Foundation are involved in a wide range of service projects, such as Trick or Treat so Kids can Eat, Jail Dogs, Worship at Greensville Correction Center, Gleaning, and other exciting opportunities. Check the Calendar for weekly updates. Spring Break Missions... We usually send a team on a spring break mission trip each year. In 2003, we had a team work with the Center for Student Missions in Washington, D.C. In 2004, we had a team work with Redbird missions in Kentucky. In 2006, we had a team go to New Orleans and work on Hurricane Relief. This Spring, we will be returning to the Gulf Coast Summer Missions... We also usually have a team go on a larger mission trip during the summer. Two years ago (2004), we had a team go to England, where spent much of our time in Bournemouth doing various ministries (nightclub ministry, a pub Bible Study - in keeping with John Wesley's desire to go where the people are), a Bible school for kids, conducting worship services, and more) with two congregations where a Wesley Foundation alum is the pastor. We also traveled around the country seeing important places associated with the life and ministry of John Wesley. In 2005 we continued our ongoing relationship with a congregation in Pyatigorsk, Russia and we will return there for two weeks in May 2007. In 2006 we organized a spiritual pilgrimage/educational/mission experience to Israel and Palestine and anticipate returning there in 2009.
