Katsucon 2002 : Don't Sleep With Your Sister

Description

This cosplay examined the moral aspects of certain relationships found in Anime. The sketch was set to the song "Bush Up Your Shakespeare" from the hit musical "Kiss me Kate" by Cole Porter, Samuel Spewack and Bella Spewack. The lyrics, however, were rewritten and re-sung to convey the skit's message. The skit starts off shamelessly making fun of visual rock cosplays. Lupin comes onstage to tell the two main characters, who are from some unspecified goth angel Anime, to stop making out. He then goes on to explain the virtues of not sleeping with your sister. The skit expands to explore good reasons not to sleep with your brother (Utena) Android (Saber Marionnette) and Mother (Evangelion) as well as the correct way to have fun.

WMAS won an honorable mention for Best Presentation and a Judge's Award for this cosplay.
