Never, ever begin a sentence with "According to some hentai I read once..."
    - Me, responding to something my roommate said

Yo clubmates! We didn't get a special room for anything next semester, so we'll have to run our costume parties (which there was a bunch of demand for) in whatever functioning Blair room we're in. Please tell us when you want to do this stuff; it's kind of inconvenient for members when we just say "oh, and there's going to be a cosplay next week. The theme is House Jurai battle uniforms. See you there!"
One of our members said that it would be cool to do a cosplay at a convention. The next convention on the horizon is Katsucon, if I remember correctly, and it's in February sometime. Does this interest a whole bunch of people? If so, contact me and I'll put you together. I don't know where I'm going to be next semester, so I'm pretty much out of the loop.
As for other activities, a lot of people wanted to do a music video. Responds the president: if you can find a VCR that can handle the editing, knock yourselves out. We don't have one. If you'd like any help with finding videos, just ask. We're friendly. Just a little vicious in our video gaming.
We don't have a form up on the site, but we're still trying to name that girl. What should we call her? I'm not going for "Sparky" or any of the other cheap joke names that were submitted at the past club meetings. Help me out here.
On the subject of bios, we'll take more pictures if we don't have a good one of you yet. For your bio, write as much or as little as you want about yourself, which may be true or false. I don't care, and neither does Aaron. Just send it in if you haven't already. Otherwise, we will provide a picture and a bio for you, based on our twisted sense of humor and not at all on reality. Ever see what a congressional biography looks like pasted under a picture of Shampoo? You will...
Meetings (we only have a couple more of them, but we'll be able to finish Slayers) are still on Fridays, 7PM, somewhere in Blair. Come on down and enjoy the warm glow of anime.

This Week's Quasi-Trivia Question:

Last week's answers are as follows:
Hard: the answer is Rei. The reason that she's so quiet all the time is that all the gel's been pumped out of her.
Easy: Key has better social skills; Pai tends to make a scene, despite her irrepressable cheerfulness. And that demonic alternate personality is not a bonus either.

HARD: How come Vegita settled for Bulma?
EASY: Who's more out of it, Sakura or Mayuka?

HINTS: Vegita is a Dragon Ball Z character with good hair. He eventually hooks up with Bulma, whose only attraction is that she is the only unattached female character at that point in the series.
Sakura is Key's sort-of friend and worker of multiple part-time jobs. She's only smart enough to realize that maybe dropping out of high school was a bad idea. Mayuka is one of the women competing for Ushio's love (why??) in Ushio and Tora. She has the perceptive qualities of a highly-evolved brick.

Web Sites of Interest:

None this week, because nobody sent me any. I'm not that glued to a computer, you know.

Contacting Me:

Call me at 221-6232, respond to this message, or rub your temples repeatedly while thinking my name. The last probably won't work, but if it does, you have a career in show business. If you want to get off of this mailing list, just tell me. I'll see what I can do, but the cute fuzzy bunny spiritually tied to your e-mail link may not be happy.
