WMAS Newsletter #22

"What?  No desecration of the body?"
--
Kevin

Welcome to the Anime Babe Issue of the WMAS Newsletter, with sites and questions relating to animated babes of both sexes.  But, before you get to the good stuff, it's time for a little news.

The US Verification force, which has just recently been moved to Macedonia as a result of the UN bombing of Yugoslavia, is still trying to confirm rumors that the ethnic Albanians are actually Draconians, the accursed tribe.  If this is true, this may explain the ethnic cleansing executed by Slovan Molosavic in Kosovo, and why his stealth fighters can't be invisible and fly at the same time.

Aaron has been hard at work on the WMAS Webpage and is looking for any content that people are willing to contribute: links, fanfics, pictures, small unmarked bills, etc.      Also, anyone participating in Killer should send their info to him as soon as possible so that the carnage begin in a timely manner.

Aaron is also looking for volunteers to show up at the Student Activity Fair next year to help represent the WMAS.  The more people that show up, the more support we'll have and the more influence we'll be able to exert on the school.  And thus our plans for world domination can continue.

Yes, we do have fan mail from overseas from Ben (who is Rob as a doppelganger).   He is taking requests for anyone who is interested in purchasing anything over in Japan.  Anything under 300 yen will not be a problem, but anything over that amount will have to come with a nice check signed and sealed to Ben (along with your soul).  E-mail him if you have any requests or e-mail any of the officers to tell him your request.  And no, you can't have Escaflowne.

Also included in the letter are a few concepts for screwed-up Anime.  Here is just a sample of one of his ideas:
The Tenchi Players take on Dumas's The Three Musketeers.  Porthos, Athos, and Aramis are Ryoko, Kiyone, and Aeka (respectively); with Sasami as D'artagnan (along with Ryo-Oh-ki); Washu and Kagato as the Countess Dewinter and Cardinal Richileu; Mihoshi as the Queen of France; Tenchi as the important lady in waiting to the queen; and Tenchi's grandfather as the English Duke who's in five chapters or so.  Extras will be the Galaxy Police.
Let's all thank Ben for this interesting approach to literature.  If anyone is interested in reading more of Ben's great ideas, contact Tina.

Finally, Otakon is starting on July 4th in Baltimore, MD.  This is the biggest con on the East Coast and a worthwhile trip.  Anyone planning to go should contact Aaron.

Quasi-Trivia Questions:

Last Week's Answers
Easy Question: Dryden, Ryoji Kaji, and Fujisawa-sensei.  Fujisawa wins the grand prize for scruffiness because he didn't bother to shave for his own wedding (or lay off the sake either, according to some people.)

Hard question: Thirteen.  By the way, I didn't actually count, but I kind of wanted to see if someone else did and would be brave enough to smack me down for making up the answer.

This Week's Questions:
Easy Question:  Who has the higher IQ, Washu from Tenchi Muyu or Ami (Sailor Mercury) from Sailor Moon
Bonus Easy Question: Which one looks better in a tight, black mini-skirt?

Hard Question:  Who are the top anime babes of all time of both sexes (not necessarily at once)?  This is according to your own opinion, not those of this week's web sites.

Web Sites of the Week:
http://members.tripod.com/therossman/index.html -The Top Ten Anime Babes of All Time.  Note: The list is not beyond reproach or debate.

http://www.resnet.wm.edu/~anreed/ -The Anime Babes.  A sight created by and dedicated to our own three anime babes: Tina, Jillian, and Abby.  (*Rrrowr* ^_^ )

http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/queeniee/fy/fy_gall.html -Fushigi Yuugi Image Gallery.  And for all the ladies, pics of everyone's favorite bishonen, the Seishi of Fushigi Yuugi.
