Tina's Timewarp
Yo! Finally better from my cold and ready to tell you what we watched last
week. We attempted to watch Clamp Campus Police (but the tape wasn't
rewound), Slayers Next, Key the Metal Idol, Berserk, Neo-Ranga, and Maze.
Gosh, what didn't we watch. But this was all due to our little April Fool's
joke with all the Clamp boxes. Gives new meaning to testing your fate.
The Dance this Saturday went really well. Everyone seemed to have a good
time. Thanks to all those who helped set up and clean up for the dance. And
thanks to Josh Glover for DJing. Everyone's costume looked great! But I
will see you all on Friday :)

Ok, I go write paper now.

Message from That Guy
I had fun at the dance party. Did you? I won a prize. Did you? Did it have Power Rangers on it? I sincerely doubt it. If you have to ask, then it doesn't.

And now, for my first Crazy Plan as That Guy ... after seeing the Scottish "Eva" dub, I was inspired to reel WMAS as a whole into our own such project. Anyone fancy a bad "Utena" dub? We already have our Anthy, Touga, and Miki pretty much cast. Anyone even remotely interested (voicing, script, techie stuffs, etc.) get back to me at x5247 or kdhuss@wm.edu If we can't get any techies, I'll make some of my fandub directors do it in their spare time. Mwaha.
Remember. ACen. http://www.acen.org May 12-14. Good food. Meet stars. I'm a guest. Happy time.

President's Respect Corner
Welcome once again, my constituents. First, I would like to thank you all for putting up with my little attempt to inject variety into our meetings. It will not be done again soon; however, we are looking into ways to ensure that we don't end up in the "three show" track for all of next semester without inhibiting the freedom of choice of you, our beloved membership. You are what make us.

Second, the dance party was tons of fun. You guys tore up the dance floor and showed all of the Science Fiction club how to party. Let's do that again sometime.

Third, you may find Satomi Hakkenden's first episode/installment/whatever at http://chokinghazard.tripod.com/hakkenden/shak1.html. I expect to be at the meeting at roughly 6:45 PM, but I may be late. I hope not to throw you guys off too much. The transparencies have already been burned; worry not. Please read over the script beforehand; if you feel you need to see what the characters look like to get the voices right, please contact me (section06@hotmail.com) before Friday. The cast is:
·Inudzuga Shino - Kara Husson
·Shino's Father - Michael "Gecko" Griffith
·Inukawa Sousuke - Robert Dieterich
·Inuyama Dousetsu - D. Michael Canada
·Fusahime - Jillian Kallman
·Hamaji - Kara Husson
·Queen Tamazusa - Tina Liu
·Funamushi - Alicia Foley
·Kamezasa - Tina Liu
·Aboshi - Tom Keeler

Yeah, I noticed. We need a narrator. If someone wants to do it, just tell me. If not, I guess I'll do it.
Hope to see you there, all practiced and ready to fill WMAS again with the sound of dramatic reading. If for some reason you find my translation too dry, e-mail me (see above link) about any changes you want to make. Also, your being at the website allows you to, say, save it to your hard drive and use Microsoft Word to delete all my translation notes and whatnot to make the copy more legible. Just another "tip from the President."

After a harrowing adventure at a local restaurant, I finally managed to make it to the dance at least a half an hour before it ended.  To all, I apologize for my late arrival and promise that those responsible are being sacked.  But really, the dance went quite well and I'd like to give a special shout-out to my roommate, who graciously allowed himself to be conned into DJing the dance.

In other news, anyone who's interested in Otakon, please e-mail me so that I can have a list of people who want to go.  If you could, let me know if you want to participate in the cosplay (it's spongy fun!)  Also, several of us are planning on putting together a hall costume for those times when we're just bumming around the con: the AD Police.  Sure, one may ask why we want to play a bunch of guys who get wiped out in droves the moment a mad boomer shows up.  Really, we don't know, we just think it would be fun to have a bunch of people dress up as a coordinated unit of law enforcement officers.  Anyway, please let me know if you'd like to join us on this endeavor so that we can figure out just how much military surplus we need to buy.  Thanks!

Librarian's Depot
Hello everyone. I hope everyone enjoyed the dance--I know I did. Too bad so many people weren't able to make it. Still though, I'm hoping this won't be the last WMAS/Skiffy dance. I think the Japanese snacks went over well. In fact, the only potential problem that arose was when Tina and I, the judges of the Time Warp contest, realized we were entirely unfamiliar with the Time Warp. It was all in good fun though. And I'm sure no one is lamenting the loss of a poseable alien gummy-toy. If you have any comments, let one or more of the officers know.

What's coming up? Oddly, not a while lot immediately. The secretary, Tina Wagner, and I will be gone meeting after next (wish us luck at the kendo testing/tournament in Ohio!), so make sure you return all library stuff to me next week. Only a few things are out.
In any case, talk to some of you later on and see you around!
