News From That Guy
Last week we watched Tina, Utena, Giant Robo, and some girls with handcuffs ... oh, wait, maybe that was Tina again.  My bad.

For those of you interested in the Utena bad dub, we will FINALLY be setting a date for our repeated watching/riffing of the relevant episode at this coming meeting.  So be sure to note your free dates and times in the coming weeks.  If you didn't tell me you were interested, just e-mail me at kdhuss@wm.edu and I'll put you on the mailing list.  Even if you don't want to do script or techie (i.e. you only want to do voices), try to make it anyway ... if you take part in the "drudge work" of scripting, the higher-ups (that is, me) will be far more likely to give you a good part.  ^.~

That's pretty much it for this week.  Next week, the third lucky caller when you hear Chu-Chu shouting "I wanna be a millionaire!" will win Regis Philbin.

Presidential Address

Hey clubmembers! I'm going to be out this week and the next, so you guys will
have to forge on with Satomi Hakkenden. We're on chapter four, which

but I will be back long enough to tell you that. The transparencies are in
safe hands, although I may have to provide some helpful pointers.

In RPG news, I have five players and am ready to roll. They are:

There may be more e-mails from me, but I will be out for the Jewish high
holidays and will be difficult to reach.

Alright, I've been trying to keep everybody mostly up to date on the Nekocon info.  Those who have signed up shall be registered.  Woo-hoo.  I'll be giving the people who need change from me their cash at the meeting.  Those of you who still owe me money, that would be a good time to pay me, but I won't go Con Nazi on your derrieres quite yet.  Except for one ludicrous statement that the UC had better food than the Caf, most people seemed to find Saturday dinner a good time to talk cosplay stuff.  How does 5 pm at the Caf sound to most folks.  We should be able to avoid the nosiest hours at the Caf that way and be able to hear each other.

I'm not planning on dressing up Thomas Jefferson this week.  But rest assured, next week it will be done.  I'll see if I can find a way of getting the pictures of TJ developed and posted on our homepage (which is currently getting a facelift) some time soon.

Tina's Caddy Corner

Hey everyone! I got a positive response to the idea of having an Anime Club garage sale. Right now, I'm thinking before Christmas or Thanksgiving will be the best time to have it so you all can get someone else's Anime for Christmas :) That means that you need to start collecting all that unwanted Anime including manga, tapes, posters, etc . . . and bring them here. Once we finalize a date, I'll be sure to tell you all :)

One other thing, just a heads-up for all those going to Nekocon and wanting to stay in the hotels. Something new this year we're starting is having everyone pay a hotel deposit before staying in the hotel. It's probably going to be around $10-20 for Nekocon and this fee just has to be paid before we all leave for Nekocon. This money goes toward the amount of money you will have to pay for the hotel stay and if the amount per person is less than the amount you put in for the deposit, then you will be reimbursed :)

Mike's Hot and Sweaty Library of Unrelenting Kendo and Study

Hey everyone ^^ Not much to report here. The newsletter's coming out a bit late on account of this week having been somewhat insane for all of the officers. But by tomorrow, I should have a revised inventory printed out.

You can stop by the library corner at any time during the meeting (preferably not during a video though) to look at what was brought or for a peek at the inventory. Just a reminder--make sure library items are returned within a week of their check-out. That's about it for this week, though. See y'all around!
