MESSAGE FROM THAT GUY

Hey there, kiddies! It's your lovable, huggable, oh-so-peanut-buttery
That Guy, with a few interesting announcements for the club at large.
First off, for a recap, we watched Wakaba and Keiko bring out the gimp
in "Utena," saw the smartest Welsh Corgi and the least pregnant woman in
the Universe on "Cowboy Bebop," and learned that Giant Robo does indeed
contain the soul of Daisuke's mother.

Utena dubbing news ... we've officially secured the use of Jess Calvello
(the American Mink, Cutey Honey, etc.) for the voice of Keiko in "Utena:
DDR." I'm going to see if we can get Tris MacAvery (the American Gendo)
to do a voice, as well. That way, if cons don't show our dub for the
sheer entertainment value, at least they'll be drawn to it by our cheap
whoring of industry celebs.

Unfortunately, I will have to leave directly after the meeting on Friday
(if not earlier), as I have a yucky ear infection and have to go pick up
some happy meds from my hometown doctor. Because, quite honestly, I
don't trust these Health Centre types. If possible, I'd like to
reschedule our scripting session for sometime this weekend (I think we
can finish the script in one more go). Let me know at the meeting if
Saturday afternoon or evening is good for the regular crowd; not too
late at night, though, as I'll hopefully be going for my scuba
certification dives Sunday.

That's all from Lake WMASbegone ... where the women pilot mechs, the men
have long hair, and all the children are busty fourteen-year-olds.

Presidential Address

Hail and well met, fellow members of the Anime Club!  I'm feeling pretty good this week, and I think we can get a manga reading done now that the IR Club isn't trying to steal our room.  If they pull a stunt like that again, the Militant Wing will engage in a big beat down.  "Time for the unity of cel and sword."  So, 6:30, OK?  If time permits, we might try Gasaraki -- the game of champions.

RPG still delayed -- do you still want to start start so late in the semester?  If not, we can start up next semester when time is better.  Just keep me informed (sigma@cs.wm.edu) of what you think.

Stay well, clubmembers.  See you in several hours.

Alright, kiddos.  We still have some time until we have to register for Katsucon.  I'm not asking for money yet, but if we register as a group, it should bring the registration cost per person down to $35.  The deadline for getting me the money will probably be sometime before the last day of classes, so we still have time to pinch pennies and save up.  Now, as for housing, those of you who live in the area and might be able to persuade your parents to let people stay, please talk to them soon.  Don't spring Katsucon on them all of a sudden, ask them ahead of time and find out how many people you could theoretically stuff into your house at any one time and tell us ASAP.

As far as cosplay, we're not going to be doing one giant skit, so it's up to you guys to handle your own skits.  I'm sure you can do it.  You're students at William and Mary, after all.

The Tina's Meow
Hey there folks!  Lot's of people seem to have a great interest in the Kyoto Dinner for Sat. Mike's Fat Kitty
Hey everyone!  In case you missed last meeting, we now officially have a T-shirt design for academic' - '00.  If you're interested in purchasing one, e-mail ME at mikecanada@hotmail.com.  We don't want to clog up >(*_*)<'s poor e-mail account.  Anyway, we're not sure about the prices yet, but they will be cheaper if we get a lot of people to buy them.  For a refresher on the design beautifully crafted by my friend Christina, go to the following link,
