The staff of the Division of Sports Medicine will make every effort to assist you during your visit. If your team will be traveling without a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, we kindly ask the following:
- Please notify the Division of Sports Medicine 48 hours prior to your arrival at (757) 221-3407.
- Please send any taping supplies that your team requires.
- Please send written prescriptions from your Sports Medicine Staff for those athletes requiring electrical modalities.
- Please download and review the appropriate emergency plans with the coach or other supervisor in the travel party.
- Click on the link below for sport-specific information.
Our emergency plans were designed to provide teams utilizing our athletic facilities with the information they need to seek trained medical care in the event of an illness or injury. An customized emergency plan was developed for each of our athletic facilities. Emergency medical services are accessed through the use of the blue emergency poles located around campus, which provide a direct line of communication to campus police and, thus, EMS. Each emergency plan contains the following information:
- Map of the facility and nearby emergency poles (shown on map as
)
- Instructions on the use of campus phones
- Directions from the facility to the Williamsburg Community Hospital Emergency Room
