The Training and Technical Assistance Center (T/TAC) at the College of William and Mary is part of a statewide network funded by the Virginia Department of Education. T/TAC staff provide a variety of request-based support services and assistance to educational professionals serving school-age students with mild and moderate disabilities or transition needs in Eastern Virginia. The aim of these services is to improve student education through enhanced professional practice. Services include information searches, a lending library, quarterly newsletters, web site, workshops, small group assistance, and individual consultations. Services are generally free of charge and tailored to meet the identified needs of the requesters.
Eastern Virginia professionals who serve students with developmental delays (birth through age 8) and students with severe disabilities, should seek technical assistance through T-TAC Old Dominion University (http://www.ttac.odu.edu).
