T/TAC W&M workshops are open to special education professionals in Regions 2 & 3. General education teachers and paraprofessionals who are teaching students with disabilities may also register for workshops.
All T/TAC W&M workshops require preregistration. Registration is limited and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participants will receive confirmations. Please feel free to suggest any workshops you would like T/TAC W&M to sponsor in the future.
Middle School Math Institute: Results-oriented Math Instruction
March 16-17, 2007
How would you like to enhance student engagement, increase student learning
outcomes, and have fun while teaching math? Students need to have hands-on learning
opportunites in math. Join fellow educators in applying strategies to math content
to enhance both the school experience and student achievement. This Math Institute
meets the high-quality professional development criteria for special education
teachers teaching the math Standards of Learning in grades 6-8. The 30 clock-hours
will be spent in a combination of a two-day onsite workshop, follow-up reading
and technology activities, and a series of electronic discussions.
