Office of Institutional
      Analysis & Effectiveness
at the College of William & Mary

The Office of Institutional Analysis & Effectiveness, a Division of the Office of the Provost, promotes rigorous self-regulation and continuous improvement within the College and the academy. The Office supports, coordinates, and advances empirically-based efforts to demonstrate that the College is fulfilling its academic mission and enhancing the quality of a William and Mary education within a community of scholars.

PIE: Process of Institutional Effectiveness
The College of William and Mary has adopted a framework to document processes of institutional effectiveness on campus. The framework, referred to as PIE, was developed in response to new SACS guidelines for accreditation. Academic and administrative PIEs specify how the College engages in ongoing planning and evaluation. The process and the SACS guidelines are outlined on the College's SACS web site: http://www.wm.edu/sacs/pie.php
